First, I’d like to dispel a myth when it comes to paintball sniper guns, and what type of sniper gun modifications are necessary to be made in order to be a successful paintball sniper. I think the most common question is: what type of sniper barrel should I purchase to increase my accuracy and distance so I can be an effective paintball sniper? Answer – well, a barrel does matter a great deal, but don’t concentrate on the length of the barrel.

A long sniper barrel will not necessarily help you out at all – what is most important is actually the speed the ball is coming out, and how cleanly it comes out of your sniper barrel. So, should you go out and buy a custom sniper barrel? I would say yes, but make sure it works well with your gun and that you use the correct paint with your barrel.
