Pump Paintball

Some people may wonder why they would even consider playing pump paintball instead of using their tricked-out semi/full automatic paintball guns. In this post I want to address that question for many beginners, and even for amateur paintballers.

First, I want to say that playing pump paintball can be one of the funnest ways to play paintball, especially for beginners. Why would pump paintball be so much fun? Well, consider the following experience: I recently took out a group of beginning paintballers, each of them using a tippmann 98 (not the Custom). Good gun, nothing fancy. But they still could shoot to their heart’s content since the gun is semi-auto and not a pump paintball gun.

So, what happened? I had to ultimately limit them to 20 rounds of paint each game because they all just hid behind things and shot a million rounds of paint at another person who also was standing behind something. Was that fun? Not really. » Read more: Pump Paintball

Pump Paintball Gun

A pump paintball gun has several advantages that most people would not ever think about. As I discussed in my previous post, a pump paintball gun can provide you with some of the most exciting paintball play you have ever had, and a pump paintball gun can also help you develop into a very good paintballer, and it is one of the best paintball guns you can use (at times) for both beginner and pro paintballers.

Another advantage of using a pump paintball gun (or pump paintball marker), even if you are a pro paintball addict, is that you use less paint. Let’s be honest, paint is not cheap, and you can’t reload it like you can regular bullets. And remember, its not always the one who shoots the most who wins. My last game of paintball was a perfect example of this. I was sitting there with tons of paint in my hopper blasting away at on of my friends who didn’t have much ammo left.

Since it was the last game and I had tons left, I figured why not use it? Well, because it made me careless, and my buddy got me right in the knuckle with one shot.
